Play Frontier, our nature playschool, is currently accepting applications. We offer full-day care and require a minimum of 2 days per week. Our classrooms are for children from ages 6 weeks to 5 years: Infants (6 weeks to 18 months), Toddlers (18 months to 2.75 years), and Preschoolers (2.75 years to 5 years).

We are currently enrolling for our Infants, Toddlers, and Preschool classrooms at this time.
Please complete the following application for each child you wish to enroll. Any information regarding specific scheduling needs, siblings, or preferences should we have space for one child before the other can be added in the “Hopes and Dreams” section as needed. You are welcome to add to our waitlist for our closed classrooms, which we go through on a first come first serve basis should a mid-year opening arise. A $150 registration fee is required to reserve your space upon acceptance into our program, as well as the first month’s tuition. Our ClAssrooms:
Infants
Children 4 weeks to 18 months
Our infant space is all about building trusting relationships between babies and their caregivers. Daily walks through the Gifford Pinchot, and blanket breaks in the grass at Hemlock Recreation Site make this a truly wonderful place to be.
Our infant classroom has a 4:1 child-to-teacher ratio.
Toddlers
Children 18 months to 3 years
Our toddler room is the heart of our school! It’s full of whole-body activities that toddlers crave. This space is all about learning how to be a human, and what our bodies are capable of. This means we get MESSY as we squish mud between our toes, squash paint with our hands, and dig in the sand! Daily walks through the Gifford Pinchot mean some children learn how to walk on a trail… talk about a lifelong love of nature!
Our toddler classroom has a 7:1 child-to-teacher ratio.
Preschoolers
Children 3 years to 6 years
Our preschool room is one big room with three smaller areas inside: The Dining Room, The Library, and The Studio. This space invites children to try new things and experiment alongside their peers. Our caregivers foster teamwork, problem-solving, and life-long learning in this enriching space… then we hit the trails to spend time in the wild!
Our preschool classroom has a 10:1 child-to-teacher ratio.
